Letter From Ahlum

Dear RGS Community,

Welcome to the First NewsGrande of the Year!

For the first few weeks of school, NewsGrande will arrive in your inbox every Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Once the year is well underway, you can expect it every other Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

While we will occasionally send one-off notifications with important updates, and flyers may go home in a Wednesday Folder when needed, NewsGrande will serve as your primary source of communication from the school. In addition, classroom educators will continue to share weekly updates, and our Co-Curricular Team will publish a monthly newsletter.

The start of the school year always moves quickly, and the next few weeks are full of opportunities to come together as a community. Please mark your calendars for these upcoming events:

• Community Fair – Thursday, September 5, 5:00-7:00 p.m. Look for details in an email from your classroom parent(s).

• Pet Parade – Friday, September 6 (see the attached flyer). Bring your furry, feathered, or scaly friends and join the fun!

• Coffee with Scarola – Wednesday, September 25, after drop-off in the library. Join us for coffee, pastries and connection! We’ll kick off this year’s series by discussing the role of the Board, our Core Values, and Rio Grande’s Strategic Plan.

We’re excited to begin the year in the spirit of community and look forward to seeing you at these events!
