Dear Rio Grande School Community,

As the school year draws to a close, I reflect on all the amazing moments and accomplishments we’ve shared over the past nine months. From the joy and connection of Community Fair and Farolito Night, to powerful classroom presentations, spirited swim meets (can we say threepeat), track events, and our unforgettable spring musical, this year has been filled with learning, celebration, and growth.

I am deeply grateful to you for sharing your children with us and entrusting us with their happiness, well-being, safety, and academic development. We hold this responsibility with great care and pride.

At the same time, the past few months have brought unforeseen challenges that have strained our community. These moments, while difficult, also offer us a chance to pause, reflect, and learn. I hope we emerge stronger and more connected through continued dialogue, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to our values.

As we head into summer, I wish you all a season of rest, joy, and time with loved ones. I look forward to seeing many familiar faces over the break, and I send heartfelt best wishes to our graduating sixth graders and those families moving on from Rio Grande. Please know you will always be part of this community.
