Letter From Ahlum 

Thank you all for attending last week’s Back to School Night. It means so much to our educators that our families take such an active interest in their children’s education.

If you missed the first portion of the evening, I shared that we update our Family Handbook each summer with revisions and new additions. This past summer saw several significant updates. If you haven’t had a chance yet, please take some time to review the handbook, especially the student behavior section, which underwent substantial changes, including the addition of a new section on Parent Expectations.

Along with the handbook, I encourage you to read through our Strategic Plan, which guides nearly everything we do at RGS. Additionally, our Board of Trustees is currently reviewing our Mission Statement and Core Values. Together with the Strategic Plan, these elements define us as an institution and help set our school apart.

One of the upcoming Coffees with Scarola will focus on our Core Values. We’d love to have as many voices from our community as possible involved in the review, and potentially the rewriting, of these foundational tenets that define who we are and what we stand for. Your input will be invaluable in helping us shape the future of our school.
