Letter From Ahlum

Dear Rio Grande School Community,

As we head into the holidays and winter break, I want to express my appreciation for each of you. Our school thrives because of the warmth, care, and dedication of this incredible community. I hope you relax, recharge, and enjoy this special season with your family and friends.

Please check the January calendar, which will also be sent home in backpacks tomorrow. A friendly reminder that admissions and enrollment season kicks off in the new year! If you’re applying for Tuition Assistance, the deadline is the end of January. And if you know families interested in joining Rio Grande School, encourage them to connect with Alex.

Hello RGS Families,

Registration for RGS After School Activity Programs is now open. We have some exciting new offerings for your students.

Classes cost $30 per class per student unless otherwise noted (plus any applicable materials and supplies fees as noted below) and run January 13th through February 24th, with a makeup week of March 3rd-7th, unless otherwise noted (i.e chess, lacrosse).

Registration closes on Sunday, January 12th. You will then receive an email with details about your child's course(s) and logistics. Any school closures due to holidays or inclement will be made up at the discretion of the ASAP educator.

Tuition Assistance Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year are due by February 3, 2025. Rio Grande School uses Clarity as our third-party Tuition Assistance platform. Clarity offers many resources to help you navigate the relatively simple process including a Family Info Webinar: 12/10/2024 @ 5:30pm PT. This webinar will review the Clarity Application Process.

Don't Forget to Place Your Lunch Orders! January Menu is Now Live!

Due to low order numbers, we have been keeping the ordering window for lunch open.

To ensure your order is received in time it is recommended to place your lunch orders at least a week ahead, for the following week.

Check weekly menus, load your bank, place orders and more at EZ School Apps.

Please ensure your students pack enough snacks to comfortably get them through the school day.
