Linking your emails to Salesforce is a great way to record your interactions with a specific grant, proposal, project, contact or organization. There’s no hard and fast rule on when to link your emails to Salesforce but best practice is to link all communication that would be helpful for someone working at J-PAL to access in future who might not have any context about the particular engagement.
Download the Salesforce for Chrome extension
Navigate to the Chrome web store and add the Salesforce extension
When you go into your email, you should see the Salesforce cloud on the right
Link the email to Salesforce
To link an email to Salesforce, navigate to the email, open the cloud bubble and search for the correct page
Click on the record, select log and then save
When the email saves to Salesforce, it will display on the right-hand side of the page. Click to view. You will be able to see any attachments included.
