Each year, we do our best to coordinate strategic planning, work planning, and budget planning for the coming fiscal year. While we do make tweaks to the process each year, it should generally follow this structure:
XVT identifies organizational priorities (OKRs) for the year
Finance team identifies currently available funds for the year and coordinates with the XVT to draft initial program budgets
Draft budgets are shared with program leads to inform OKR and project plan development.
Finance team incorporates information from project plans into the budget and iterates with the XVT until we have a final budget and a plan for fundraising for the year.
