At J-PAL North America, we use Google Drive for most of our file management needs.
There are two types of drives that users are likely to interact with: Shared Drives and Personal Drives.
When you navigate to Google Drive, you will most likely be in your personal drive - files saved her are private to you unless you share them with other users. On the lefthand side are Shared Drives - these drives have permissions granted either individually or by membership into a group, and by default anyone with access to a folder will be able to see files within that folder.
