QAA Explores Student and Performance During the Shift to Digital Teaching, Learning and Assessment
To understand how, and which forms of digital delivery and assessment have impacted student engagement and achievement, QAA ran a survey of its members during November and December 2021. This survey was completed by 322 individuals from more than 90 different institutions and was complemented by 17 in-depth interviews with QAA Members.
QAA - Differing Perceptions of Quality of Learning
This QAA Collaborative Enhancement Project between University of Portsmouth, Manchester Metropolitan University, Solent University and The University of Nottingham gathered evidence from undergraduate students of their perceptions of the quality of learning and teaching in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on how these perceptions differ by ethnicity.

Explorance - Module Evaluation in a Pandemic and Beyond
Explorance has commissioned independent research amongst Students’ Union (SU) representatives across the UK and Ireland. Questions were asked around their experience of module evaluation surveys, how universities’ approaches to capturing student feedback via surveys shifted (including during the first semester of 2020-21) in the context of the Covid-19 and national lockdown, and what institutions could do differently going forward.

Engaging the student voice in our 'new normal'
The unprecedented challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic have led to major disruption for the higher education sector worldwide.
The initial shift to online teaching from March 2020 raised serious questions around how the student voice can be captured effectively (through module evaluation surveys and other student feedback mechanisms), especially given the sector’s reliance on traditional approaches.

Through the lens of the ‘Community of Inquiry’ education experience (Vaughan & Garrison, 2006), this practice report provides guidance and examples for online instructors to engage students within discussions in the digital realm. Five elements will be discussed: embedding multi-media, affiliative humour and storytelling, Socratic questioning, ‘reframes’ and, summarising and ‘weaving’.

EDI Resource Bank – A new nationwide tool to support equality in Higher Education
This database has been developed to support individuals, teams and institutions in developing and implementing diversity strategies. By sharing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)-related initiatives and reports from organisations and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in this repository, users can learn from the good practice of others.
The EDI Resource Bank brings together two types of materials:
EDI reports - Resources produced by organisations supporting teaching and research in HEIs
EDI initiatives - Resources produced to improve EDI within organisations and institutions
