Assessment

Using the Turnitin Assignment activity you can create a Turnitin dropbox, which allows students to upload an assignment(s) to Turnitin via Moodle. Once submitted, the activity allows instructors to assess and provide feedback for student's written work using the assessment tools available within Turnitin's Document Viewer.

Communication Software

Zoom is a web conferencing system that allows students and teachers to synchronously collaborate. It can be linked with Panopto to record and transcribe Zoom calls.

Padlet is a noticeboard style tool that allows people to add content both synchronously and asynchronously. It provides a range of templates from a free flowing grid view to a structured timeline or map.

Vevox is an audience response tool that allows academics to:

  • Embed questions within previously created PowerPoints

  • Create quizzes that are ranked with a leaderboard

  • Have a moderated Q&A board for students to anonymously post their questions.

  • Create surveys that can be used to test students understanding after the lecture or gauge how useful a session was.
