SHARK TANK is a television show where entreprenuers pitch their product ideas to a few filthy rich investors. The entreprenuers have come up with an idea for a product they feel is needed and will be successful. The investors are nicknamed "sharks" because they are shrewd and tough to negotiate with. The entreprenuers pitch their product ideas to the sharks with the hopes that one of them will become a partner in their business.

They explain their product and why it is needed and will be successful.
They tell the sharks how much money they are seeking and how much of their company they are willing to give the sharks in order to become a business partner.
For example: "I am seeking $250,000 in exchange for 10% of my company." This means if a shark partners up, the shark will earn 10% of whatever money is made in the future of the company. They now basically own 10% of the company.
3. The sharks typically ask for a higher percentage of the company in order to become a partner. "I will give you the $250,000, but I want 25% of the company." The entreprenuer must decide if giving up 1/4th of their company is worth getting the $250K.
4. They either reach a deal through negotiation or the entreprenuer walks out with nothing.
