The Community Counseling Clinic (CCC) assists in supporting the Department of Counselor Educations' practicum experience of the Master's program in Counselor Education. The practicum experience provides student with the opportunity to receive ongoing feedback, supervision, and support in the development of their clinical skills. Practicum students practicing in the CCC should consider themselves CCC counselors, held to the policies and procedures articulated throughout this website. The CCC recommends that practicum students are in constant communication with their peer supervisors, group supervision instructor, and Clinic Team throughout the practicum experience. The CCC does not endorse experimental or unfamiliar approaches to be practiced in the clinic. CCC counselors ensure that their group supervision instructors are familiar with their approaches and skills to ensure that they are practicing within the defined scope of practice for a counseling training clinic.
