The Community Counseling Clinic (CCC) serves clients primarily during the academic quarters, including summer session. We close during any university closure for regular term breaks and for all university-observed holidays. We do have some summer offerings to clients interested in attending Group for the Summer Break. In the event of university closure or delayed opening due to weather (e.g. snow, ice), a message informing you will be pre-recorded on the central university number at (503) 725-3000. Information is also carried on Portland Metropolitan radio and television stations.
If the university closes due to weather, the CCC counselor is responsible for notifying their clients. Counselors should save the client's number under an alias for use in emergency situations only. In the event of clinic closure, the counselor can contact their client through an encoded phone call using *67, then the client number. CCC counselors must obtain client permission to contact them via telephone or email, and to leave a voicemail, if not indicated in the client's chart.
