Who Am I?
My name is Nikki Kalitsnik. I am a junior that is working towards a bachelors in elementary education. I plan to begin working as an elementary school teacher and go back to school to get my masters to eventually become an elementary school principle in the far future. I am from Milford, Pennsylvania. So about eight hours from Old Dominion University. I grew up as one of four kids. I have an older sister younger brother and younger sister. Family is something that is very important to me, me and my siblings have a very close relationship. My older sister is married with a baby girl, so I am now an auntie. My brother and I are only a year apart and he now is a student at ODU as well. My first semester at ODU, I rushed a soroity. The soroity that I found my home at, was a group of girls that had the same values and morals as I do. We raise money for Prevent Child Abuse America and Girl Scouts of the USA. Both organizations are things I am not only passionate about but also organizations that I love to be part of due to working around and helping children. What made me want to become an elemtentary school teacher is My third grade teache Mrs. K. She was not only an amazing teacher, but also a mother figure as well. Not only did she care about her students education, she also cared about them as people. She helped guide us through real life senerios as well. The impact Mrs. K had on me is the same impact I want to have on my future students.

Hi Nikki! First, I love how big you are on love and kindness. Your future students will be extremely grateful to have had a teacher like you with your values. I also like how you pointed out that you will adjust your teaching style to your students and what will work best for them. Your presentation was great, and I really like all the pictures you included! - Ca'Leah Shuleo
Hi Nikki! My family line up is the same as yours, I am the second oldest with an older sister and younger brother and sister :) our ages are pretty spaced apart though. I also want to work towards being a school principal once I have been teaching for a few years. You will be a great teacher, I think it is so important to teach your students about real scenarios of others lives, it gives them a different perspective and can teach them how kindness can go a long way.
