What I Know
As someone who has not had the opportunity to student teach for a long time, there are only a few things that I know as a future educator. I know that I can guide children into focusing on the task given to them. Teaching a younger grade level or any grade level for that matter takes lots of patience. I know that I have the patience to not just teach but to help students with behavioral or even learning struggles they have.
Things I have to Learn
The teacher I will become
I will become a teacher who uses the existentialism educational philosophy. I want my classroom to be bright and energetic! Where my students thrive and continue to grow every day. Someone they will be able to come to when things at home or in school are hard. I want to be THE teacher that children want to have. They will be taught in more than one way (whichever learning style they prefer), they will be rewarded when they do great things, and most of all they will know that they are important and that school does not define them.

How I Used AI
For this page, I used the Canva picture generator to create a picture of what my future classroom would look like using an existential educational philosophy.
I have also used AI to further inform myself on educational philosophies. I asked ChatGPT two questions:
If each educational philosophy were a superhero, what would be their superpowers?
If an educational interior designer was helping teachers with different educational philosophies create an environment that reflected their beliefs, what would those classrooms look like?
They each gave me a different, fun, and interesting view of each of the philosophies to not only complete a different assignment but for me to better understand which philosophy I resonate with the most.

Catherine- I also follow the existentialism view! I think it is so important for students to be able to explore!
Hi Jocelyn, Great post! I love the warm energy it brought. I also loved how you inserted a questionaire for your peers to get to know our philosphies and why we think they suit us. I enjoy reading as well, what is your favorite book or one you are currently reading? -Janiyah Howard
Hi Jocelyn, I agree with your stand guiding the children on also behavioral issues they might be having. A teachers care to a student outside of academic's is really beneficial to student. - Jada Griffin
Jocelyn, funny coincidence, my name is Ella. I was really interested by how you had your "things I have to learn" collapsed so you would have a drop-down image I guess you could call it that.
