Dear Parents/Guardians
Warm greetings! As we approach the end of this school year, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to you for your unwavering support. It has been a fulfilling year of shared experiences, and your belief in our girls has made a meaningful difference in their secondary school journey.
To the parents of our graduating class, a special word of appreciation for walking this journey with us. Thank you for your partnership through the years. It has been a privilege to watch your daughters grow in confidence and character. As they take their next steps, we celebrate this meaningful milestone together with you. I look forward to seeing you on 10 November at their Graduation Ceremony!
As the holidays begin, we wish all families a well-deserved break. We encourage our students to recharge, pursue their interests, and spend quality time with their loved ones before returning refreshed for the new year ahead. Please make full use of this opportunity to have meaningful and fun moments together.
As we look ahead to 2026 and 2027, we can hardly contain our excitement as we to celebrate our momentous 110th anniversary with our Nanyang Family of Schools – what an incredible journey it has been, and what a privilege it is to share this rich legacy together! We have been busy preparing a series of commemorative events that will bring our entire community together, creating new memories whilst honouring our heritage. Alongside these celebrations, we are launching meaningful fundraising initiatives which will directly benefit our students and enhance their learning experiences. Your involvement and every contribution help strengthen the bonds that make our Nanyang community so special. We look forward to your active participation and support as we come together to celebrate our Nanyang heritage and build a strong and vibrant school community.
Thank you once again for your trust and collaboration throughout the year. I wish you good health and look forward to another fruitful year ahead.
Ms Siau Fong Fui
Principal
Note: Our school’s year-end protected vacation period is from 22 November to 25 December 2025. Only students who are participating in selected November GCP, WEP or the National School Games in early 2025 will be affected.
Eat with your Family Day falls on the last Friday of each school term.
School will thus close at 5pm on Friday 21 November 2025 to allow everyone to leave school early to enjoy a meal and spend quality time with their families.
Wishing you in advance a happy family get-together on this very joyful day.
CCA activities have resumed in the week of 27 October and will follow respective CCAs’ schedules. When the year-end holiday starts from 11 November, the respective CCAs may make some changes to their schedule (e.g. CCA sessions may take place in the morning instead of the afternoons, etc.). There will also be various CCA camps happening from 10 November, in the format of day camps or overnight camps. Please check in with your daughter/ward to find out more about her CCA schedule.
The protected vacation period will take place between 22 November and 25 December, and we hope that this will allow everyone to enjoy their holiday with their loved ones. However, as the National School Games (NSG) for a few CCAs will begin early, from January 2026, affected CCAs may need to adjust their protected vacation period to prepare students well for the NSG.
2026’s protected vacation period during the school holidays are as follows:
We have important school activities planned during the non-protected period that will benefit your daughter’s learning. Please keep this time free and avoid scheduling other activities or overseas trips so your daughter can participate fully in these specially designed programmes. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring they do not miss these valuable opportunities.
We have thoughtfully provided the 2026 protected vacation period well in advance (since 1 September 2025) to help you plan your family commitments without any scheduling conflicts. We genuinely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring your daughter can participate in all our school activities – her full involvement truly makes a difference to her experience and development.
The school will continue to engage our students on the responsible and balanced use of digital devices. Our goal is to help them develop self-regulation and good digital habits that support their learning and well-being.
To support this, the school will be tightening our current practice of no unauthorised use of devices during school hours. At the same time, we will continue to educate students on making thoughtful and responsible choices in their use of technology, so that they can develop the discipline and discernment needed to navigate the digital world confidently and responsibly.
The table below summarises our multi-pronged approach to nurturing responsible and mindful digital habits.
As we look forward to celebrating a remarkable milestone in our school’s journey, we take pride in living out the values embodied in our commemoration theme:
百十风华,南洋薪传
Our Nanyang Legacy, A Beacon Through Time
Unveiled to the girls on 15 September 2025, this theme celebrates our 110 years of tradition, preserving our legacy as we actively shape the future. It honours the Nanyang family’s commitment to uphold our values and lead with purpose into the future.
We can all look forward to a series of meaningful celebratory events in the coming years, including our recently launched NY110 Logo Competition and our anniversary highlight – the NY110 Gala Dinner in 2027. As we celebrate together, we will also launch a series of fundraising events in support of our school’s continued growth and development.
Please stay tuned for more details and we look forward to your active participation and contribution in our fundraising events.

The application for the 2026 MOE Independent Schools Bursary (MOE ISB) and 2026 NYGH Financial Assistance Scheme (NYGH FAS) is now open. Please refer to the information below regarding the eligibility criteria and the link to the application forms.
The Ministry of Education (MOE) has recently announced a revision to the income criteria and application process for the MOE Independent Schools Bursary (ISB), which will take effect from 2026 onwards. These changes aim to better support families in need and to streamline the application process.
The MOE ISB provides financial assistance to needy Singaporean students in Independent Schools in the form of tiered subsidies for school and miscellaneous fees.
Eligibility Criteria:
For School Fee and Miscellaneous Fee Subsidy:
Gross Household Income (GHI) should not exceed $12,000, or
Gross Per Capita Income (PCI) should not exceed $3,000
For Free Textbooks and School Attire:
GHI should not exceed $4,000, or
PCI should not exceed $1,000
There is no need to complete a separate application for free textbooks and school attire. Eligible applicants will be automatically awarded.
All MOE ISB approved will be valid till December of the year. Fresh applications will have to be submitted for each school year.

Important Notes on the New Application Process:
You do not need to submit any income supporting documents if you and your household members only have employment and/or trade income, and do not have other taxable administrative income (e.g. rental income, dividends, taxable investment income).
In such cases, MOE will automatically retrieve your Gross Household Income and Per Capita Income from the Government Household Means Eligibility System (HOMES) at https://www.homes.gov.sg. This system pulls verified income data directly from IRAS and CPF Board records.
However, if you or any household members have other sources of taxable administrative income, you will need to:
Submit details of all related household members living at the same residential address, and
Provide required supporting documents for all their income sources.
We encourage all families to review the new application process and ensure all submitted information is accurate.
