Lunch Menu # 1 (Week of October 20-24)
Dear Elementary Parents and Community,
I hope you enjoyed a wonderful fall break with your children. They have returned to school refreshed and eager to share stories of their travels and family time. As cooler temperatures arrive, please remember that students continue to play outdoors each day. We only keep them inside during heavy rain, as we value the importance of fresh air, movement, and exercise. Kindly ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Please note that school will not be in session next Thursday, as it is a Macedonian holiday, Revolutionary Day.
Fall Festival is Coming on October 29
Students may dress up in comfortable costumes that are appropriate for school (no blood/gore or fake weapons). Get ready for games, pumpkins, costumes, and cozy flavors! The NOVA Fall Festival will take place during the school day (8:30 am - 12:00 pm) on October 29th, for Grades PreK3–5.
🎃 Donations of 300 denars per child help us bring this day to life.
☕ Parents can also enjoy seasonal treats at our “Fall Flavors” coffee booth!

Upcoming Safe Haven Drill
Next week, our students and staff will partake in a Safe Haven Drill as part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment. During this drill, we will practice our lockdown procedures—students and teachers will remain quietly in locked classrooms, out of sight, while attendance and safety checks are completed. Once the “Go to the on-site safe haven” signal is given, classes will calmly relocate to our designated safe area, where staff will again verify attendance and maintain student safety until the “All clear” is announced. These drills help our school community stay prepared to respond quickly and effectively in the unlikely event of an emergency, while keeping student well-being as our top priority.
Parent Teacher Conferences Sign Ups
As you know, our first round of Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place on October 30 and 31. Please note that there will be no school for students on these days. We invite you to sign up for conferences using the links below—first with your child’s homeroom teacher, and then with each of their specialty teachers. We strive for 100% parent participation, as we deeply value the partnership between home and school in supporting each child’s growth and success.
