Lunch Menu # 3 (Week of February 16-20)
Dear Elementary Parents and Community,
Today we celebrated the 100th day of school! Our Beacons of Belonging hosted an Elementary School Spirit Day, and it was clear that everyone had a great time.
Tomorrow, our PTA will host a Valentine’s Day event focused on friendship. Students will have the opportunity to make a card for a friend, and sweets will be available for purchase. All classes will also walk over to the high school area for a Valentine’s class photo.
Next week will be a short one. School will be in session on Monday and Tuesday only, February 16 and 17. Our Winter Ski Break will take place from February 18–20, and school will be closed during that time.
Join Your Child For Lunch
If you want to join your child for lunch in the cafeteria, you may! We always welcome parents to school during this time. Please use the links to sign up in advance. This way, the Security Team will know you are coming.
SPARK Intervention Groups
Our small-group SPARK math intervention groups for grades 4 and 5 are now up and running. During this block, some students participate in enrichment while others receive targeted support. These groups meet two days each week. After eight weeks, we will review the data to assess student growth.
Second graders will begin SPARK groups in literacy the week after the February ski break. All groups are data-driven and designed to meet students where they are and move them forward. These groups meet three days each week for 30 minutes. As with the math groups for older students, we will review growth data after six to eight weeks.
ES Movie Night - Friday, February 27, 6:00-8:00 pm
We will host our second ES Movie Night at the end of the month. We will show two movies, High School Musical and Toy Story 4. The PTA will be in the Cafeteria selling snacks and drinks. You are welcome to bring your own food/drinks, pillows, and blankets. Please note that you must accompany your children and stay on campus with them the entire night. This is a family night and not a babysitting service. If students show up unaccompanied by a parent, they will be asked to leave.
