Lunch Menu # 4 (Week of March 2-6)
Dear Elementary Parents and Community,
On Tuesday, we celebrated the Chinese Spring Festival at Nova. We were honored to welcome Her Excellency, Mme. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan, to our school. She toured the campus and observed students as they created beautiful Chinese lanterns. She also visited our first-grade classrooms, where she taught students how to write the Chinese characters for hope, peace, and happiness. Our students were fully engaged and excited to learn.
Members of the Embassy shared meaningful Chinese New Year traditions with our students, enriching their understanding of this important celebration. We were delighted to enjoy special performances, including a traditional dance and instrumental music. Students also had the opportunity to participate in a formal tea ceremony and practice calligraphy, writing Chinese characters themselves.
It was a joyful and culturally enriching experience for our entire community.
ES Movie Night - Friday, February 27, 6:00-8:00 pm
We will host our second ES Movie Night tomorrow night. We will show two movies, High School Musical and Toy Story 4. The PTA will be in the Cafeteria selling snacks, pizza, and drinks. You are welcome to bring your own food/drinks, pillows, and blankets. Please note that you must accompany your children and stay on campus with them the entire night. This is a family night and not a babysitting service. If students show up unaccompanied by a parent, they will be asked to leave. I hope you can join us!
