Dear Elementary Parents and Community,
It was lovely to see so many of you at Family Fun Day this past Saturday. It was truly a fun and fabulous day for all.
The student performers were exceptional. I was especially amazed by the fifth graders playing the recorders. Recorders have been part of school music programs since I was their age, but I have never heard them played with such a high level of excellence. Makedon on the recorder, Elon on the flute, and Ali Cem on the violin, along with the beautiful singing, made the performance especially memorable.

Featured Learning - Grade 2 Marketplace
Second-grade Student Marketplace: This wasn't just a simple craft fair; it was a full-scale dive into the world of business and finance. After weeks of learning about money, carefully designing and preparing their own unique crafts, our students stepped into the roles of shop owners to see their hard work pay off. The experience provided a powerful lesson in real-world economics. Students navigated the entire financial cycle, from the pride of earning their first "paycheck" to the responsibility of paying fines. They ultimately had to make smart choices about how to spend their profits on the things they wanted or needed.
With this, I wish you a great week ahead.
Warm regards, Julie
