5.14 Absence Without Leave

An employee’s absence from duty, including any absence for a single day or part of a day that is not authorized by a specifically approved leave of absence under the provisions of these policies, is deemed to be an absence without leave and may be considered cause for disciplinary action (see section 7.4), up to and including dismissal (see section 8.4), or may be considered to be a compulsory resignation (see section 8.1.2.)
