The social enterprise aims to work towards the benefit of the differently abled by creating awareness about para sports. In addition, various back end and front end processes of the service adopt measures to benefit the target segment. By providing assistance to the differently abled to become para athletes, the service aims to create a positive impact – not only on the lives of the athletes but also on a National and International level – by providing a platform for their recognition.
The journey from initial involvement of the differently abled in Para-Sport to winning a Paralympic Gold medal involves a number of different stages.
For new Para-Athletes, the road ahead may seem like an adventure into the unknown. To help alleviate this uncertainty, this section describes the various phases of Para-Athlete development and various programmes of support made available to them by PRAYAS at each stages.
The main affected persona – the Differently abled people, their families.
We aim to partner with professional athletes, amateur athletes, anyone else who wishes to bring sport to their lives.
Along with them, the people and the organizations that are working with the differently abled in some or the other way or are associated with them.
The target groups include differently abled, their family, sports scientists and researchers, classifiers, coaches/trainers, sports administrators, para athletes and sponsors at various levels.

Prayas would provide the sporting talent the right support at the right time, to give the emerging talent a fair chance to blossom and build them. This will alter the notion of what people think about the capabilities of the differently abled people. Para athletes who are working to achieve their goals can inspire countless others with their potential to strive for excellence.
At Prayas, we would create awareness about para sports through different channels and medium and encourage differently abled to come and participate in para sports. this would be in partnership with various stakeholders that would help in the process. The main target being the differently abled people, we could thus connect them through these stakeholders like NGO's, medical practisioners, etc. We would also provide them with information about para sports and benefits of playing sports. This would generate an awareness among many. We would help them in getting classified for the sports class and category in which they are elegible to participate in the game.
Further, we would provide them sponsorship so that the athletes who have performed really well, faces no obstacle in going ahead in this field.
A PRAYAS kit will be given at the time of registration. It will include -
PRAYAS business card
A badge with the logo of Prayas on it
Pamphlet showing milestones of Prayas,
Booklet showing details about the process of classification.
Brochure about upcoming event
Motivational poster
Jute bag
While the user goes through each activity, there is an entire front end as well as back end team of Prayas, working for the implementation of activities. Support Services are externally acquired and plays a very important role.
There are multiple roles that work in the front as well as the back end. Our consideration of each role is on the basis of the work priority, i.e., who is more important where.
Also, we analysed the intentions behind each of the major steps of our service, such as connecting with people, creating an awareness event or through other channels, providing the service of classification and connecting them to various sports clubs and sponsors.
