The above video talks about the basic concept of the service that we are trying to implement in the context of Gandhinagar as a city facing Silver Tsunami.
The process of brainstorming about the elderly helped shortlist the ways that elderly could feel productive. It also helped us understand the need of making elderly productive and the impact it will have on their lives in the longer run. We then researched about different personas of the elderly which could be willing to be a part of the service. The shortlisted people should have a skill that they are proficient in and are comfortable imparting to kids and teenagers.
All the above mentioned personas are socially active, eager to share their knowledge and have abundance of experience to share with the world.
After shortlisting the personas, it was important to decide the consumers of the service. Also one main task was to concentrate on where to find those consumers and a platform where those services could be provided and could reach the masses.
To conduct a service which involves both the elderly and the students and teenagers, it was important to understand what a student was looking forward to in such sessions and what are the different issues that a student of this age group faces in today's context. These topics would then help us design sessions according to the needs of the students and then match the needs of the students and the expertise of the gurus. This would eventually help both, the students and the elderly stay in their comfort zone and receive and provide what they exactly are looking forward to.
The information above shows as to how the service will be implemented in accordance to the schools and the academic calendar. This also helped us understand the needs of the schools for their students.
The customer journey map and the service blue print helped us understand the flow of the service and all the things that might be needed to conduct a service like this. Gray Gurus deal with 2 customer segments. So to understand what all is needed for such a service to function smoothly, we needed to understand both sides of the coin.
