Fall is everyone’s favorite time of the year where Mother Nature paints her canvas with beautiful hues of colors. The leaves change their colors from green to yellow and red and it’s a treat to the eyes once you step outdoors. And one such destination with the most beautiful foliage is Vermont. Driving from Boston, as we go towards Vermont, our car passes underneath archways of colors. As we hear our car tires crunch through the fallen leaves and blow them behind like confetti, we see bright sunshine igniting the yellows and reds all along the way.
As we reached our cabin, we found ourselves right in the middle of colorful mountains. Each morning we would finish our chores, pack our sunglasses and sandwiches and drive off to feel the breeze in our hair. One of the most mesmerizing pit stop we took was the Kent pond. You just want to sit there and keep looking at the lake and the tree cover around it. Even though the weather was a bit cloudy, little droplets of rain added cherry on top to the view.
The next day we drove towards Queeche gorge which is the deepest gorge in Vermont and hosts some of the most picturesque forested gorge with hiking trails alongside. Time passed too quickly as we took loads of snaps, walked along the trails and ended up in a gift shop with a hot cup-a-joe. And as the sun went down, we started our journey back to Boston leaving back our footprints and some long lasting memories in Vermont.
