Nicholas Wachira

Professional appointment: Head of Teaching Programmes at Aga Khan University – Institute for Educational Development East Africa Professional profile: Wachira teaches leadership and management courses at the university and has trained principals and teachers in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania in project managed by Ministries of Education, Commonwealth and the World Bank. He has vast experience in training, developing tools and publishing materials in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning in East Africa and SADEC region and has published Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Manuals and papers. He has experience in promoting innovations specifically in design thinking and maker space as signature pedagogy. Wachira’s work has focused on how to support quality education for communities in marginalized and poor communities.
