She completed her Doctoral studies in 1999 and joined USQ as a Lecturer in Curriculum, Pedagogy and Leadership Studies. The focus of her research since that time has been exploring processes of whole school improvement. She has been engaged in three longitudinal studies tracing the impact of whole school improvement processes on students, staff and school leaders. Each project has engaged a collaborative research team and developed research approaches to explore and explicate the impact of a whole school improvement program, IDEAS (Innovative Designs for Enhancing Achievements in Schools). Each research project has been informed by and has informed the ongoing development of the R & D project, IDEAS.
