Mweru Mwingi

Professional appointment: Assitant Professor Professional profile: Dr. Mweru Mwingi served as a secondary school teacher in rural schools in Kenya before moving into higher education in 2007. Mweru is based at the Aga Khan University-Institute of Educational Development, Eastern Africa in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania where she teaches Educational Leadership and Management and Gender in Education. She also serves as the Acadmic Coordinator for the Centre for Education and Lifelong Learning (CELL), which has an outreach programme offering professional development courses for teachers, educational leaders and stakeholders across East Africa. Mweru has interest in girls’ education and teachers’ professional development.
