Mireia Tintoré

Professional appointment: Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Education at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) Professional profile: Mireia Tintoré holds a Doctorate in Humanities and Social Sciences from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) which she received with Excellent Distinction. She also holds a Master in Family Education from the European Institute of Educational Sciences (EIES), a Post Grade in Women's Leadership from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain), and a Bachelor's degree in Geography and History (specialty Contemporary History) from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB).
She currently works in the Faculty of Education at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC), as an educator and researcher. She is the Chair of Organizational Studies and Professionalization Research Group at the Faculty of Education and also the Founder and Editor of the International Journal of Educational Leadership and Management (IJELM).
Mireia has been a Guest Lecturer at Université des Lagunes (Abidjan, Ivory Coast) where she trained university teachers in new and active educational methodologies. She also has lectured on educational leadership at the Catholic University of Portugal, in Oporto; and at the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares. Areas of scholarship: Her current research interest includes educational leadership, school management, organizational learning in schools and universities, and problems of school leaders. Teaching foci: Tintoré is the Director of the Post-Graduate Course in Educational Leadership and Management (PLD) and the Chair of the Educational Management and Leadership Specialty, at her university.
Her research related to teaching includes: initial teacher education, successful actions in universities and the development of emotional and entrepreneurial skills.
