Follow General Pediatric Protocol.
Do not allow patient to eat or drink anything prior to arrival at medical facility.
Initiate Isotonic Solution (NS or LR) 0.9% NORMAL SALINE infusion at 20 mL/kg/hr.
If SHOCK is present, follow Pediatric Shock Protocol.
If vomiting present:
a. ONDANSETRON (Zofran) 0.1 mg/kg IV/PO for active vomiting (maximum 4 mg).
b. Option: DIPHENHYDRAMINE (Benadryl) 0.5 mg/kg IV.
