Follow General Trauma Protocol.
Mandatory interventions:
a. Cardiac monitoring
b. Oxygen
c. IV access
Assure patent airway and intubate if needed.
Administer ALBUTEROL SVN for bronchospasm/wheezing if patient awake.
If CARDIAC ARREST or DYSRHYTHMIA present, refer to appropriate protocol.
Assess carbon monoxide (CO) level via RAD-57 device.
a. If level is > 12%, initiate 100% oxygen administration
CPAP should be seriously considered
Notify Medical Control of situation enroute (& if more patients can be anticipated).
