The objective of carbon farming is to take the excess carbon that is in the atmosphere and store it in the soil. This process occurs naturally from photosynthesis and decomposition, but there are other methods that can aid in the conversion as well as speed up the process. Carbon sequestration from carbon farming will mitigate climate change and is extremely beneficial for plant and soil health.
Our Mission
Inspired by the processes of nature, we implement sustainable carbon storage techniques to your farm’s soil.
We are proposing different programs and ideas that can help the Sustainable Agriculture Project at GVSU begin Carbon Farming. In order to do this, we created an Intern Position for a carbon farming manager, an interactive storyboard that could go up on the GVSU campus, and possible implications at the SAP.
