Unity-consciousness, yoga, Tao, non-dualism, Christ-consciousness, samadhi—these are but a few names for the ultimate state of Oneness. Despite its many labels, this universal truth remains the same: a profound union with the divine and with all things. This concept is a central theme across all major religions and spiritual traditions, attesting to its universal relevance. It's a truth that has been taught and symbolized throughout history, as all human hearts and souls instinctively yearn for union.
So why, despite this universal longing, does Oneness remain so elusive in our world? Why has its message been so slow to take hold?
This article will explore three major obstacles to individual and collective comm-union and then identify practical, psycho-spiritual, and mystical pathways to achieving Oneness.
Video 1: Oneness, Christ-consciousness
Duality has it's own culture. So, too, does non-duality (or Oneness). The two cultures are polar opposites, locked in a paradox of seemingly irreconcilable differences. Making sense of both cultures can be a challenge because they have antithetical values, antithetical languages, antithetical viewpoints, antithetical environs, and antithetical practices.
Choosing the path of Oneness means opening oneself up to the antithetical, bizarro worlds of duality and non-duality.
The dualistic world is polarized, the non-dualistic world un-polarized. Reconciling the two is a head-scratcher.
The polarized view perceives good and evil. The unpolarized view perceives everything as good. How can both be true? That's another head-scratcher.
In the world of duality, Lucifer is the devil. In the world of non-duality, Lucifer is the light bringer. Another head-scratcher.
"If life on earth is an illusion and Reality is truly ONE… then in the absence of duality you would see Lucifer as the Light Bringer." ~ The Law of One, Ra Material
the dualistic mind grieves over it's mistakes. To the non-dualistic mind, there are no mistakes. This is another paradox, another head scratcher.
Many cannot make sense of the contradictions between dualistic consciousness of the Ego and non-dualistic consciousness of the Spirit, so they stick to what they know: dualistic consciousness of the Ego, which veils the non-dualistic consciousness of the Godmind.
Jesus Christ taught that Oneness with God is being equal with God: "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God." (Philippians 2:5-6)
Edgar Cayce, a Christian pastor known as the "Sleeping Prophet," agrees: "To be one with the Father is to be equal with the Father.” (Edgar Cayce 900-331)
The incongruity of Christianity is that followers do not heed their own Savior's advice. Jesus Christ's message of Oneness—as being equal with God—has been largely ignored and disavowed, then and now:
"I and my Father are ONE." Then they took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, "Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of these do you stone me?" They answered him, saying, "For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God." Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, Ye are gods.' " (John 10:30-34)
Christianity and Catholicism still maintain a schism of inequality between God and Man. Whereas Tibetan Buddhism, Hinduisim, and the Kahuna religion of Hawaii are not afflicted by inequality between man and deity.
His Holiness Trinley Thaye Dorje, 17th Gyalwa Karmapa of the Karma Kagyu lineage (equivalent to the Catholic Pope)-believed to be an emanation of Buddha-once remarked, "The only difference between you and me is that I know you are buddhas."
Priests and shamans of the Kahuna religion of Hawaii consider humanity as gods equal to the Most High. Equality with a Supreme Power allows them to easily connect with the One Great Spirit and express the supernatural abilities of deity.
Hinduism believes in the equality of man and deity. I once asked a Hindu preacher, "What Hindu belief or principle prevents your people from crucifying your Christ?" The Hindu preacher replied, "In Hinduism, we believe that we (everyone) are all gods."
Have you noticed that peaceful religions believe in equality with deity whereas religions with a history of violence do not?
Inequality breeds contempt, power plays, schisms, unfairness, violence, wars... and crucifixions.
Inequality with deity is a human prejudice that prevents truth-seekers from realizing their Oneness with God. If humans were awake to the truth of our integral oneness-that we are all gods equal with God, as Jesus taught-then would humans treat their fellow men so sacrilegiously? Of course not. But rather than wake up to their sacrilege so they can stop it, they hit the snooze button.
Being conscious means knowing WHAT you are doing and WHY in every choice you make.
When God separated His creation into male and female, God knew what He was doing and why. When a surgeon severs a gangrenous limb, he knows what he is doing and why. These are examples of Conscious Separation.
Conscious Separations are not harmful. Quite the contrary, Conscious Separation is safe if done responsibly, in a fully conscious state of knowing WHAT and WHY. Division or duplicity is done responsibly to preserve life, health, and safety.
Severing ties with a bully, or uncoupling from a toxic narcissist are healthy forms of Conscious Separation. They neither corrupt the psyche nor fragment the soul, because a conscious decision was made to protect the inner life.
Unconscious Separation, on the other hand, is duplicitous, subversive, and corrosive to the psyche. It has split many a soul into Jekyll and Hyde.
Self-righteousness is an example of Unconscious Separation. A self-righteous person is quick on the trigger when it comes to the faults of others, but blind to his own. Beneath his sanctimonious demeanor is a fallen angel posing as a false god.
Video 2: Elizabeth Lesser on "Otherizing"
"Otherizing" (Video 2) is often done blindly, hence, it is a form of Unconscious Separation.
Xenophobia (i.e., fear of differences) is another form of Unconscious Separation, and is often the root cause of "otherizing."
Lurking in the shadowy recesses of our Dark Side are all the patterns of Unconscious Separation we commit-e.g., how and why we unconsciously practice "otherizing," how and why we give our power away to others, how and why we do "power over" an-Other, how and why we unconsciously trade places with the devil.
Unconscious Separation is the common denominator of all man-made evil and inequality in the world. It manifests as prejudice, hate speech, bullying, abandonment, strife, murder, rape, cheating, manipulation, stealing, fault-finding, self-righteousness, ad infinitum.
Unconscious Separation fragments the soul, diminishes our light, and leaves behind a trail of broken hearts, broken trust, and damage to life, health, safety, and property. If ignored and allowed to fester, the effects are corrosive, eventually manifesting in the physical body as disease, illness, pain, deformation, and decay.
At the Convent of the Incarnation, when St. Teresa de Avila headed toward the chapel for morning mass, the other sisters noticed something different about her. Her steps were slower. Her face radiated a special serenity. Her hands trembled slightly, as if she were sensing the proximity of something sacred. Teresa didn’t walk toward the Eucharist like someone about to fulfill a religious obligation. She walked like someone going to meet her Beloved.
Teresa’s words to the Eucharist: “I come, I receive, I remain.” Translation: We meet, we merge, we are. These are words of nuptial encounter. They emphasize the joining of two individuals into a new, unified entity in mystical union: when two become One.
"I want both of us to start talking about this great love as if You and I, and the Sun were all married and living in a tiny room, helping each other to cook, do the wash, weave and sew, and care for our beautiful animals. We all leave each morning to labor on the earth's field. No one does not lift a great pack. I want both of us to start singing like two traveling minstrels about this extraordinary existence we share. As if you, I and God were all married and living in a tiny room." ▪ Hafiz
For Inner Mending, Liberation from Karma, Enlightenment & Ascension
Our left brain (Severity) is wired to respond to reality with "fight or flight." Result: warning signs or alarm bells from a fearful, anxious, worried imagination.
Our right brain (Mercy) is wired to respond with intuitive creativity. Result: calmness, peace of mind. creative imagination.
Just as the left brain can activate anxiety and shut down creativity, the right brain can activate creativity and shut down anxiety. Watch video for details.
How do you activate right brain creativity? Use your IMAGINATION. Watch Video 3 for details.
Imagination by itself is not bad. It's how you use your imagination that makes it good or bad.
If you're using your imagination to respond to a situation with worry, anxiety and negativity, then you're using only half your brain. That's a problem. You're not practicing Oneness, you're practicing Unconscious Separation.
The state of Oneness uses both left and right brain in comm-union to expand consciousness—e.g., analytical left brain for discernment, to recognize and assess a perilous reality, and right brain for creativity, so you can un-prophetically imagine innovations, solutions, remedies, and coping strategies for turning "old" to "gold" or "lemons" into "lemonade."
(By "un-prophetically imagine" we mean: you are not using your imagination as a crystal ball to predict the future or distract from reality).
In any given situation, if both left and right hemispheres of the brain are used to penetrate the Veil of Forgetting and unite oneself with Source/Higher Self in order to face 3D reality, then the result is Peace Beyond Human Understanding... and outcomes only Grace can deliver. Providence moves with you also.

The act or an instance of sharing, as of thoughts or feelings.

The psycho-spiritual antitoxin to "Unconscious Otherizing" is "Conscious Coupling."
"Conscious Coupling" involves reconciling differences and mending Unconscious Separations until there is no "Other." It involves bridging internal warring factions and seeking all possibilities of union even when there seems to be none.
There are many ways to "Conscious Coupling" of our painfully separated "other selves." Elizabeth Lesser suggests a simple, practical approach to end "otherizing" and bridge chasms of disagreement (Video 4).
Those who practice "Conscious Coupling" of their polarities evolve much faster than those who don't.
Video 4: Elizabeth Lesser on ending "otherizing".
The inner and outer work of self-reunification involves reconciling one's horizontal polarities and vertical periodicities at the heart—seeking all possibilities of union even when there seems to be none—and restoring things to Sacred Union (Figure 1). Woah, did that just fly above your head? Let's break it down then:
Polarity is the horizontal oscillation of human consciousness along the X-axis of the body. Polarization occurs when our consciousness oscillates between 2 opposite poles of the X-axis, e.g., Light vs. Dark, Masculine vs. Feminine, Mercy vs. Severity, etc.
Periodicity is the vertical oscillation of human consciousness along the Y-axis of the body. The opposite poles along the vertical axis are Heaven and Earth, Spirit and Matter, the Holy and the Psychic. For example, your consciousness oscillates vertically along the Y-axis of your body when you are trying to balance spiritual needs and material needs.
is the sacred marriage of one's polarities and periodicities (Figure 1). Sacred Union-or the One Heart of Christ-is realized by uniting internal polarities and periodicities at the heart with tenacious, everlasting love. It's a marriage of Mercy & Severity, Judgement & Clemency, Heaven & Earth, wherein differences are reconciled by seeking all the possibilities of union even when there seems to be none. When love is absent, the result is polarization. When One Love is present, then cross-pollination occurs.
Figure 1: Cross of the Gods.
The Oneness of Jesus Christ, symbolized by his cross, has an X-axis (polarity) and a Y-axis (periodicity). The nexus at which both axes converge represents Sacred Union of the One Heart.
Reconciling differences (horizontally and vertically) is accomplished by Conscious Coupling of internal polarities and periodicities, as opposed to "otherizing" and other forms of Unconscious Separation. The aim is to restore Sacred Union so that you are no longer split 4-ways and pulled in 4 opposing directions.
When Spirit is the Architect and Mind the Builder, the physical result is Oneness of purpose in body, mind, heart, and soul—characterized by unity of thought, action, speech, intention, and motive.
People who do Oneness Restoration with the help of an experienced Jungian counselor or psychotherapist tend to progress faster, with less trial and error, compared to those who don't.
Figure 2: Mother Nature's example of reconciling differences (horizontally and vertically) in Sacred Union-a Douglas Fir (left) and an Alligator Juniper tree (right) growing together in Pinetop-Lakeside Forest, Arizona, USA. It's not that they don't like each other, but rather both trees have very different climate requirements. The Douglas Fir likes cool, damp climates and higher elevations, while the Alligator Juniper prefers hotter, drier temperatures. To see the two of them growing together under the same conditions is very rare. As of now, both appear to be healthy and will live together for many years to come.
Those who do Oneness Restoration before and after a Lily Activation evolve faster, happier, and become one integrated whole sooner than those who don't.
The 2nd Lily Covenant-a commitment to Christ-consciousness which every Lily has pledged to uphold-is a commitment to "Restore to Oneness and be a light unto nations." This implies the practice of Oneness Restoration until one becomes "a light unto nations."
It is not enough to be "Christ-consciousness in activation." A Lily who has pledged committment to Christ-consciousness is beholden to God to become "the people's promise, as a light unto nations" (Isaiah 42:6), a "Christ in the Christ-consciousness."
The outcome of Oneness Restoration for Lilies is the externalization of the transcendent, miraculous inner messiah, who is the humblest servant of all, living a super-conscious divine life on earth, and who brightens a dark world in a way that average humans are unable to do.
Over 7 billion humans emit polarized light like incandescent bulbs. On the other hand, an integrated super-conscious human who attains "Christ in the Christ-consciousness" radiates unpolarized light like the sun, and brightens a dark world in a way that 7 billion polarized human light bulbs cannot do (Figure 3).
According to Dr. David R. Hawkins, MD, Phd (in his book "Power vs. Force"), the mere presence of such a rare, enlightened individual on earth is enough to balance the darkness caused by millions of people, thereby, reducing the chances of planetary annihilation.
Figure 3: compare the unpolarized light of the sun, which brightens a dark world in a way that 7 billion polarized light bulbs cannot do.
Clinical psychologist, Jordan Peterson, on meeting his Shadow (Video 5), said this: "There is a monstrous element to the human psyche that you need to respect... as a loaded weapon."
To repress or ignore one's Shadow whilst chasing the power and gifts of the Light only magnifies the Shadow's power over you.
Attempts to repress, deny, blame, shame, outwit, oppress, overpower or eliminate one's Shadow are doomed to fail. The only thing that can overcome the intrinsic Shadow is L-O-V-E. Nothing else will work.
The Shadow has only one supreme master. Shadow answers only to that Higher Power in us we call God whose essence is Love. If you're willing to endure a very challenging courtship and romantic dinner dates with your Shadow-self, and persevere in the desire for God-like Love and Union with your Shadow-side, then the outcome of your Shadow Work will be an integrated self that is healthy, happy, wiser, and whole; wherein the beastly Shadow has become your staunch ally, protector, best friend, and dearly beloved.
Carolyn Myss and Andrew Harvey offer a free video course entitled "Discover Shadow Work" to help you get started.
Those who do Shadow Work with a Jungian-based counselor or psychotherapist tend to progress faster than those who aren't because they benefit from the counselor's experience.
Shadow Integration (Video 6) involves "making the darkness conscious" (citation: Jung), facing internal saboteurs, and mending deep-seated splits (i.e., Unconscious Separation) until one grows into self-love, self-awareness, integrated consciousness, and wholeness.
Romancing the Shadow (Video 7) is a wholistic and highly effective type of Jungian-based Shadow Work by Connie Zweig and Dr. Steven Wolf. Click here for more info.
People who "romance the Shadow" tend to evolve faster than those who do "shadow boxing" and, thereby, attain Oneness sooner.
"There is no coming to consciousness without pain. People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own soul. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious... Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."
- Carl Jung

The first Christ came in the perfection through Jesus. The 2nd Coming of Christ is portended by Eckhart Tolle, Paramahansa Yogananda, and Edgar Cayce (Video 9) to be a collective phenomenon-as the spirit of Christ inside imperfect humans so that they can be made perfect and whole again.
This implies that the spirit of Christ is no longer a memory of a deceased savior but a resurrected force coursing through the energy cords that connect us.
This implies that the spirit of Christ is no longer up in the skies, or in pages of a bible, but here on earth, performing prophetico-messianic deeds through enlightened human initiates, and leading people to the post-apocalyptic, edenic state of New Heaven and New Earth.
When asked, "Can there be given, in a way we may understand, an explanation of the meaning of the Second Coming of Christ?" the Akashic Records replied through renowned prophet, Edgar Cayce:
Video 8: the apocalyptic Christ.
Video 9: the Second Coming.
The mystical Jesus was a figure who achieved the ultimate spiritual union with God, a state known as Unio Mystica in Latin or paramananda in Sanskrit. This profound "Oneness" or divine love bliss is a state of consciousness so rare that only a few in human history have attained it while in the flesh.
The crucifixion can be seen as the ultimate symbol of this sacred union. The cross itself represents the perfect reconciliation and Sacred Union of opposing forces—the horizontal polarities of human experience and the vertical periodicities of the divine—all meeting at the heart in unconditional love.
By this definition, the anti-christ is not necessarily a single entity but any behavior, intention, inner disposition, or mindset that is antithetical to the ways and patterns of Christ. If Christ embodies truth, then the antichrist is the antithesis of truth: lies, falsehood, disinformation, deceit, etc. If Christ is humility, then the anti-christ is the antithesis of this: arrogance, hubris, and entitlement. If Christ represents self-IS-ness, then the anti-christ is the antithesis of this: selfishness. If Christ is selfless, then the anti-christ is the antithesis: greed. If Christ is One Love—the command to "love thy neighbor as thyself"—then the anti-christ is the antithesis: Unconscious Separation.
Unconscious separation manifests as "otherizing"—loving your neighbor as an "Other" rather than as an extension of yourself. This is the crucial choice Jesus faced. Had he viewed his oppressors and crucifiers as the "Other," and himself as a "victim," his path—and the course of history—would have been entirely different. His life was a continuous practice of choosing oneness over separation, One Love over fear, even with his naysayers, betrayers, and crucifiers. His final act of forgiveness was not a passive gesture but a powerful expression of his choice to remain in Oneness with them.
Despite the agonizing pain and immense suffering, Jesus refused to be thwarted from achieving integral union. His final act of entering Unio Mystica was a resounding triumph over the divisive consciousness of the anti-christ.
In spite of agonizing pain and a bleeding heart, Jesus would not be thwarted from seeking all the possibilities of integral Union. He forgave his crucifiers from a place of Oneness with them, not Separation. Then he entered into the ultimate state of Oneness: Unio Mystica. It was a resounding triumph over the divisive anti-christ.
This state of mystical union is not just a cosmic experience; it is an impenetrable force field of One Love that can transmute anything negative into nirvanic bliss. The Akashic Records suggest that in his final moments, Jesus's mystical ecstasy perpetually transmuted the vitriol of the angry mob into a state of divine love bliss. This miraculous process is said to have muted the physical pain of his wounds and neutralized the venom inflicted by others.
According to the Akashic Records, Jesus did not die in suffering. Instead, he passed away in a state of supreme love bliss and union with God, ascending to Heaven not as a victim but as an Ascended Master, the ultimate embodiment of the resurrected Christ in a state of victory and glory.
