DAY 1
The first day was all about traveling; after going through all the security checks, we boarded the plane and arrived at our destination, Germany. There, we picked up our luggage and headed to the airport exit, where our host families were waiting for us.
DAY 2
The second day was family day; each host family went to a different place to do different activities. In my case, we went to the Baltic Sea and the SeaLife Aquarium in the morning, then we went to a restaurant for lunch, and in the afternoon we went to a spa. After spending four hours there, we went home, and after dinner we had a movie marathon.
DAY 3 -
On day 3, we all went to the school to do different activities to get to know each other better, because some German students had Dutch students too. Then, the teachers ordered pizzas so we could all eat together at school. After that, they gave us cloth bags to paint. On one side, we wrote what Erasmus means to us, and on the other side, how we see the world in the future.
DAY 4
On the fourth day, we went to Hamburg to visit an eco-friendly bunker. After taking a tour, we did some activities: some people cooked the meal we were going to eat, while others, like me, went to the garden to pull weeds, prepare the soil, and plant carrots. After lunch, in the afternoon, we went to Greenpeace, where we found more information about our SDG and had to research it to present our findings right there. Later, some of us took the subway back to Stelle, while others stayed there for the afternoon. We got home pretty late, so we played darts until bedtime.
DAY 5 -
On the fifth day, we went to Lunemburgo. First, we went to a climbing wall until around noon, and then we went to the water tower. Before going inside, we were given 20 minutes of free time to eat. Once the break was over, we went inside the water tower and saw how it works. Later, we split up and went our separate ways; some went back to Stelle with the teachers, and others stayed around. In my case, Paula, Ruth, María, our chaperones, and a friend of Hatice’s went to a shopping mall in Hamburg. When it was time for dinner, we ate there, and then everyone went home.
DAY 6 -
On the sixth and penultimate day, we went to Hamburg, then to the chocolate museum, and after that we had some free time to eat and explore the city. In the afternoon, I played a traditional German game until we went to the barbecue at the school. Once it was over, some people went home to pack their bags, while Felina and I, along with a large group, went to a kind of arcade. Much later, we went to pack our bags and go to sleep
DAY 7 -
On the seventh and final day, we had breakfast at the school and presented our project on the SDGs. Later, we said goodbye to the host families and our German and Dutch friends, then took the train to Hamburg to catch the subway to the airport and fly back to Madrid. We spent most of the day traveling back to León.
