ARRIVAL DAY
Monday,26th July
Yesterday I landed in Corfú , Kerkyra in Greek. It is an amazing island. People say that it is Gods Island as Ulises arrived here when he was going back to Itaca.
It is called the Greek green island with Italian,British and French influences in its culture and architecture.
I arrived early at Andrioti school where my Erasmus course took place.
The teachers welcomed all the students and we started the course introducing ourselves .Later we did an English level test before having a break .We went on working with vocabulary development for educators and finally we shared some intercultural communication.
Tuesday 27th July
It was time to know more about other countries.
My classmates and I prepared an essay about our cities and the most famous and special festivals in our countries.
Poland ,Italy,Spain ,Czech Republic...,countries with amazing festivals and marvellous places to visit. It was very interesting to be able to know about small cities I had never heard about
I told them abot León, my city, where I was born and where you can learn about spanish history
THIRD DAY: A CULTURAL VISIT IN KERKYRA
FOURTH DAY:A NEW FESTIVAL
Today we have worked in groups. After taking some information about other countries festivals, we have prepared our own festival,a mixture of different cultures.
My team's festival was called "This is not the end"as we thought that not everything finish with the summer.Enjoy with us!
During all the week we had to prepare an essay about different topics in order to record a podcast so as to practice intonation, pronunciation and idiomatic language.
After recording everybody's podcast,we were handed our course certification and although it was so hot the school had prepared an urban game: The treasure hunt.In different teams we explored the city and we could say good bye to Kerkyra.
To finish the course, the school organized a trip to Paxos and Antipaxos, two island near Kerkyra where we could relax, enjoy and buy some souvenirs from this island which is a aradise to come back again.
