ARRIVAL DAY

At last the day arrived.

After travelling during all day I have just landed in Malta, an island with a lot of history to know and many beautiful places to visit.

My course will start in two days so I have some time to visit the three islands:Malta,Gozo and Comino before meeting my classmates from other countries.

5th August- First day course: meeting new people

Monday morning.

I am so excited to start this Erasmus + experience! It is the first time I take part in this programm and I am looking forward to my course.

The course started at 8:30 and after giving us the documents which let us attend to the school,we had to do an English level test in order to be sorted in different groups.

At midday we went on a trip around Malta in which the teacher showed us interesting places near the school.

People say that in Malta there is a church for each day of the year, all of them marvellous.

6th August -2nd day

My course "English Language Development is focused in the teaching of English and its four skills:Reading,Listening,Writing and Speaking.

We have worked the importance to feel confident with ourselves when we want to learn a foreign language. The teacher Andrew insisted on the importance to transmit this feeeling to our pupils.

During the afternoon We had to time to visit Malta,an amazing place with a mix of cultures.

7th August-3rd day course: Listening Skill

During the morning we have been working one of the four skills in a learning of a new language: "listening".

Language learners usually find difficult those activities in which they must work with listening or audio.

To improve this skill we practiced some exercises which can be attractive for pupil .Through games and music everything seem easier. We discovered activities in Lyricstraining,TED TALKS or TED ED.

In the afternoon we went on discovering the impressive city of Malta.Today we have gone to La Valeta, the capital of this mediterranean island. It is a majestic fortified city with Baroque,Neo-Classical,and Modern buildings.

The city was recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980.

8th August- 4th day course: Speaking Skill

The best way to improve a language maybe is speaking so today we have become actors. Each of us has played a role in a fictitious situation in which we had to discover who was the murder of a story.

Again the game is an essential part in teaching.

If you go for a walk in Malta, you will find wonderful bays in which you can bathe into crystalline water.

9th August- 5th day course: summary of a week in Malta

It is time to say goodbye to my teacher and classmates but before doing it we must think about how to transmit all the knowledge we have obtained during this course.

We have shared our feeling about the course and at the end we have received our course certificate.

I would like to thank to Link School of English and to Erasmus + organization the posibility they have given me to participate in this amazing experience and to discover a wondeful country with history in each corner of its cities and, of course, with idyllic beaches.
