In Family & Community Services: PALS (Peer Assistance and Leadership), students will learn leadership skills such as: goal-setting, communication, peer listening, conflict resolution, group dynamics, and project planning. Students will use these skills in combination with a spirit to serve others to provide programs for their peers that increase motivation, self-esteem, and student Involvement. PALS will also seek out opportunities to help serve in the community. Class time will be spent developing leadership skills, serving our peers on our own campus, and mentoring younger students at our feeder schools.

Certification on Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse through Williamson County Child Advocacy Center or other certified personnel.
Certification through the nationally-recognized PAL Program by completing training on home campuses.
Work-Based Learning opportunities may include:
Service Learning - serve as a peer mentor to feeder elementary and middle school students; engage in service activities within the school or community
Job Shadow - spend a day or more observing professionals working in education and youth services (counselor, teacher, social worker, youth group leader), healthcare and mental health, or community and human services
Field Trips and Guest Speakers - gain understanding of a variety of career paths and insight into the industry from professionals
