The Business Management Program of Study leads students in future ready soft skills such as teamwork, communication and collaboration. Students will learn how to manage projects, staff an organization, and set workplace policies. Students will find solutions to the changing global marketplace, including legal conduct, and how it influences industry environments and operations.

Work-Based Learning opportunities may include:
Internship - gain experience by interning with a local small business, human resource department, nonprofit organization or consider working at a retail store or in hospitality to gain experience in scheduling, customer service, or merchandising
Job Shadow - spend a day or more with a local business owner, manager of a retail store, restaurant, or hotel, an office manager, or nonprofit director
School-Based Enterprise - support in all aspects of running the school store
Service Learning Project - work with a local nonprofit or community organization on a project that requires planning, resource management, and execution
Competitions - while not direct work experiences, participating in DECA competitions can involve development of practical skills and simulated real-world scenarios
Field Trips and Guest Speakers - gain understanding of a variety of career paths and insight into the industry from professionals
While most of these course opportunities don't apply to Program of Study completion, some may. Students are advised to consider them to strengthen preparation.
