The Electrical Program of Study explores the occupations and educational opportunities associated with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. This program of study may also include exploration into installing and repairing telecommunications cable including fiber optics.

Work-Based Learning opportunities may include:
Internship - gain hands-on experience by interning with a local electrician
Job Shadow - spend a day or more observing an electrical technician, foreman, or lineman
Service Learning Project - collaborate with local organizations to repair, design, and/or build structures or apply your knowledge and skills by volunteering for an organization like Habitat for Humanity
Competitions - while not direct work experiences, participating in SkillsUSA competitions can involve development of practical skills and simulated real-world scenarios (ex: Electrical Construction Wiring competition)
Field Trips and Guest Speakers - gain understanding of a variety of career paths and insight into the industry from professionals
