The Lodging and Resort Management Program of Study introduces students to occupations and educational opportunities related to the logistical and operational management of lodging and resorts. This program of study also explores opportunities related to human resources, financial analysis, and marketing.

Work-Based Learning opportunities may include:
Internship - gain experience by interning at a resort, full-service hotel, local convention center, or restaurant to gain experience in customer service and management
Job Shadow - spend a day or more observing professionals in various hospitality roles such as an event planner, chef, sales manager, or human resource professional
Competitions - while not direct work experiences, participating in FCCLA competitions can involve development of practical skills and simulated real-world scenarios (ex: Hospitality, Tourism, & Recreation STAR event)
Field Trips and Guest Speakers - gain understanding of a variety of career paths and insight into the industry from professionals
