Internship - gain hands-on experience by interning with a local florist or plant nursery
Job Shadow - spend a day or more observing a florist or event planner
School-Based Enterprise - support in designing, pricing, and creating floral designs for local events as part of floral design services offered at your school
Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) - apply knowledge through an individualized project such as creating floral arrangements for events or conducting research and participating in an agriscience fair
Competitions - while not direct work experiences, participating in FFA competitions can involve development of practical skills and simulated real-world scenarios (ex: Floriculture Career Development Event)
Field Trips and Guest Speakers - gain understanding of a variety of career paths and insight into the industry from professionals
