Dear Brown School Family,
As we come to the close of another school year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitute for your partnership, support, and trust throughout the year. Together, we've watched out students grow in remarkable ways - academically, socially, and emotionally.
This year has been filled with learning, laughter, and lasting memories. From classroom achievements to athletic successes, our students have consistently demonstrated resilience, kindness, and curiosity. These qualities are a testament to the strong home-school connection we are fortunate to have in our school family.
To the families of graduating seniors or those moving off to new adventures, we send you off with pride and best wishes. You will always be a part of our school family. For those returning in the fall, we look forward to welcoming you back, refreshed and ready for a new year of learning.
On behalf of our entire staff, thank you for a wonderful year. Have a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer!
Love,
Dr. Angela

What an AMAZING day with our J. Graham Brown School students and staff! A huge thank you to our incredible student fundraisers, as well as our teachers and administrators, for being such great sports and allowing students to pie them in the face during our Move-A-Thon celebration.
We are thrilled to announce that our Brown School community crushed this year’s fundraising goal, raising an incredible $16,627 in net profit for the 2026 Move-A-Thon! Our expenses were mostly our t-shirts for all our students. Through the generosity and support of our families, friends, sponsors, and community members, these funds will help provide new sidewalks in Peace Park, replace important school equipment lost due to JCPS budget cuts, and support student activities both inside and outside the classroom.
This achievement would not have been possible without the support of our amazing PTSA family and school community. Our student fundraisers truly went above and beyond this year, and we would like to recognize several outstanding accomplishments:
Top Individual Fundraisers
1st Place: Beatrice K.
2nd Place: Logan C.
3rd Place: Isaiah G.
Together, these three students raised an incredible $5,915!
We would also like to congratulate our top fundraising grade level — Fourth Grade — which raised $5,809! As a reward for their hard work, the fourth grade students will enjoy a pizza party on Friday, May 22.
A special thank you goes out to our generous sponsors:
G. Starks Realty
HDDS
ARGO
Louisville Automotive Shop
Kids' Great Adventure
Kentucky Gymnastics Academy
Thank you again to everyone who donated, participated, volunteered, and cheered on our students. What an incredible example of what the Brown School community can accomplish together!
We are happy to announce that Swags gave a $150 gift card to the Move-A-Thon. We are putting all students who raised $500 or more in a drawing for the gift card. We will draw it at our PTSA meeting next Thursday! Thank you to Swags for the wonderful donation!
SBDM Ballots will be sent this week for election. You will need to vote before Friday at noon. We will post the results on our Facebook page. Thank you for all who volunteered to be on the SBDM.
