Dear Brown School Family,
I have a wonderful time so far meeting so many new families to our school community at today's Brigance testing and the 6th Grade Camp. It was also great to see our returning students (previous fifth graders) and seeing how much they have grown over the summer! I can't wait to see more of our students this week and at next week's Meet & Greet!
Some reminders for the first day of school (Thursday, August 7th):
💛 Our doors open at 7:20 AM. Please do not drop off your student before that time.
🐻 Breakfast is served from 7:20 to 7:50 AM. Please make sure if your student is going to eat, they are dropped off early enough to finish before school begins.
💙 School starts at 8:00 AM.
⚠️ Dismissal plan changes for elementary students must be called into the office at 502-485-8216 by 2:00 PM.
🚙 Dismissal begins at 2:40 PM. Middle and high school students must exit our building by 2:50. Our goal is to finish up with Car Rider Alley and Gym Door Walk Up by 3:00 PM. The first days of school usually result in delays in our systems, but we always put student safety first. Please grant us some patience the first few weeks.
Love,
Dr. Angela

We have launched our new website - but it is still a work in progress. Let us know what you would like to see added to it.
We were very greatful to all the volunteers who came out to help last Sunday clean-up around the school. We have volunteers who weed wacked the alley, clean the atrium windows, clean the flower beds, shovel the dirt off our walkways in Peace Park, tear down the old shed and put a new chest together and lastly install a new walkwaybarrier that we hope will reduce the dust on the walk ways.
Miss this event - we will be planning another one soon - come join us then! Many hands make light work!!
During our clean-up we noticed that we need to replace some playground items for the students. Check out our Amazon Wish list!
Next Tuesday at 2:30 PM after the Meet & Greet we will have a short PTSA Meeting in Peace Park with Popsicles.
We have to approve the budget for 2025-2026. It is on our website for viewing.
David returns to work on Monday, August 4th.
