The KBE Awards Committee will hold a virtual meeting September 25, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. ET.
The next KBE regular meeting and retreat will be held Oct. 1-2, 2025.
The meeting will occur at the Kentucky Department of Education (300 Sower Blvd., Frankfort, KY 40601)
SBDM
School-Based Decision Making (SBDM) Councils promote shared leadership among those who are closest to the students. Membership of each council includes parents, teachers, and an administrator of the school.
The parent representatives are voted on by an election held by the Brown PTSA

What is the Fall Festival Street Fair?
The Brown PTSA Fall Festival Street Fair is the main fundraiser for Brown PTSA. This helps provide funding for events we do during the year. This includes family nights, teacher appreciation week, Kentucky Kids Day, and other programming the PTSA funds. This does not only provide funding for the PTSA events but also for the many school groups that are running the gaming booths. The PTSA provides the games and prizes and all the money the booth raises goes to the student group. Past Groups include: Cheerleaders, HSA, Yearbook, Baseball team, and Golf Team.
We will be shutting down 1st street from Muhammad Ali to Chestnut. We will have a stage that will showcase some of the student groups. There will be music in between student performances. There will be food trucks to enjoys for dinner and games for all ages to play. We will also have a silent auction and a raffle inside. The Brown School Alumni also hold a silent auction to support student scholarships.
It will be chaotic fun for everyone. Bring your chairs and hang out with the Brown School Family.

What are Bear Bucks? They are the currency at the Fall Festival Street Fair for eveything except - Food Trucks and Art Vendors.
Games Only accept Bear Bucks - No Cash Accepted.
Raffle Tickets can be purchased by Bear Bucks or Cash/Card.
Merchandise can be purchased by Bear Bucks or Cash/Card.
Bear Bucks can be used after the Festival for events by the PTSA or merchandise. They do expire at the end of the year.
Why puchase in advance? Becuase you will not have to stand in line to purchase during the event. We will give them to you in advance in the car rider/walker line or they may be picked up at the office.
