Dear Brown School Family,
At the end of the semester and going into winter break, I want to express my gratitude for your ongoing support and partnership throughout this year. It is a joy to work with your students and see them grow and succeed. Our families are a critical foundation to our school community success.
I hope you have a restful, peaceful break filled with joy and quality time with your loved ones. Please remember that we are partners in your family's goals and future, and we look forward to welcoming our students back in the new year, refreshed and ready for all the opportunities ahead.
Wishing you all a very happy holiday season and a joyful start to the new year!
Respectfully,
Dr. Brian

Brown Journalism students are releasing their first issue of the year! The students are writing for a 5th grade audience and up.
The students love seeing any responses to their work from younger students, their peers, or teachers/coaches.
This newspaper is student-led. They choose the articles; they lay out the website; they lead every single aspect of this publication.
On the Meet the Staff page, you will see who these student journalists are. If you see them in your classroom or hallway, please congratulate them on their hard work!
Also, please congratulate Evangeline and Lena on their leadership as co-editor in chiefs.
The Lost and Found located in the first floor stairwell across from the Main Office is overloaded with lunchboxes, coats, water bottles, etc. Anything left after Friday, December 19th will be donated to the community. If your child is missing something, please remind them to check the Lost and Found.
Thanks!

If you are interested in mental health services for your student outside of the school setting, we are able to make referrals for you through Care Solace. If you are interested in my services with your student to start off the school year please reach out to me via the student support form and I will be happy to talk with you and find the best services for your student. I am hoping to do more groups this year, so if you have an idea that you think would benefit your child feel free to reach out!
Unfortunately due to the NTI day on Friday the Mental Health Fair was unable to occur. We are currently working on rescheduling the event, and I will announce more information when we have more to share. I look forward to making the event even better with a little extra time!
Just a reminder - we have an on site food pantry here at Brown. If anyone would like a food box before the holiday break, send me an email. I can have it in the car rider line for you.
Please check the lost and found before the holiday break. Over the break, anything left will be donated to CAP, the JCPS clothing assistance program.
