Dear Brown School Family,
We are seeing an incredible amount of hard work and dedication from our students! The next two weeks are essential, featuring many exciting final projects, tests, and presentations. To ensure every student has the best chance to succeed and complete these important tasks, daily attendance is absolutely critical.
This is also a wonderful time for our supportive families to partner with us! A little extra help at home with organizing assignments, breaking down large projects, and establishing a consistent routine can make a huge difference in reducing student stress and building great habits for the future. Thank you for being such an integral part of your child's success!
Respectfully,
Dr. Brian

Students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grades will be competing in our CERT Challenge this winter and spring. Students are challenged to complete all of their Exam Room and Study Hall video lessons in CERT on Clever. These videos are selected for them based on their Winter CERT scores and are intended to prepare them for the Spring CERT or SAT.
The videos have been shown to have a positive impact on students' SAT scores nationally. Students who complete all videos and the winning grade level will get a field trip this spring.
They can find the assignments and graphic organizers on Google Classroom in the "Class of" classrooms. They must fill out the graphic organizer and turn it in for each module on Google Classroom for credit.
Please encourage your high schooler to complete the CERT Challenge!

This is it! I am holding the second annual Brown School Mental Health Fair this Friday on December 12 (12/12)! It will be a great opportunity for our students to meet local mental health providers, as well as organizations that are beneficial to mental health. We're excited to invite the Louisville Free Public Library, the YMCA, as well as the Louisville Science Center among several other groups to participate. This will be a great chance to find out what resources are available for your students. Parents are welcome to come and see the event themselves! The event runs from 9-2, so feel free to come and check it out!
What's up in the ES World? Check out Miss Christy's ES Counseling Corner to stay up-to-date on your child's school activities.

Please make sure your student has a social security number on file at school (we have been emailing those that don't). Also encourage your student to put forth their best effort these next 8 days to get their classes up as high as they can.
The next SBDM meeting is scheduled for December 15th. HERE is the agenda. SBDM meetings are open to the public.
