Click on “Add a New Post”
Fill in Subject (topic of discussion) and Description (your post goes here).
Insert citation if applicable in APA format.
Attach files, if appropriate.
Click on “Post to Forum.”
You can then view your completed post and those of your peers. Each Initial post begins a thread as shown.
Open the thread that you wish to post a reply
On the bottom of the screen, select Reply.
Fill in your response in the box provided, choose and upload any files you may wish attached
When finished click on “Post to Forum”.
Faculty has the capability of replying to a student privately. This feature allows faculty to comment outside of the group environment to a student. To use, simply check the Private Reply Box under Attachment.
Compose your responses in a word processing program such as Word first; save this file to your computer or USB flash drive. Copy and paste the text into the message area of the Discussion Board. Should there be an interruption in your Internet connection, you will not lose any work. Only if required by the instructor should the Word document be uploaded into the forum.
