Course overview - Study Periods 3 and 4
During the first half term, study period 3, learners will complete the Microsoft Word Unit of work that was started last term. Learners will be able to work efficiently with text using a variety of constructs including indenting/tabulation and formatting.
During study period 4, after half-term, learners start looking at Unit 4 - Computer Networks. This unit of work allows learners to have a greater insight into how the internet and technology operates. Learners compare the different types of cables, calculate download times, understand buffering as well as learning about encryption.

Week 24 (6th March) - End of Unit Summative Assessment (Computer Networks)

Learners will receive guidance in a variety of ways. These include marked assessments, reports, verbal feedback, written feedback in books, 1:1 interaction, Google Classroom and whole class feedback.
