Mr. Pearson starts his day off with his grade 12 English class that he loves to teach. He then preps for his next class. Once a week he goes out for lunch to Kori’s Roti with his two friends, Mr. Ebbers and Mr. Petz. Then he goes to his afternoon classes, grade 9 Foods and grade 10 English, before wrapping up his day. Once he gets home he prepares his dinner, and relaxes by watching old Sopranos episodes, sports, or Goodfellas.
Mr. Pearson loves to read; his favourite book series is Dark Tower by Stephen King. He encourages students to find something they enjoy reading. He also reads cookbooks, and his favourite is The Wok by Kenji Lopez Alt, which is a comprehensive guide to cooking Asian food at home. It discusses the science behind cooking, which he finds interesting.
In his spare time, Mr. Pearson enjoys attending concerts, and he is a dedicated fan of several groups, but his favourite bands are Phish and Goose, which he has gone to see over 50 times.
If you see Mr Pearson in the halls, ask him for some cooking tips, a fire Phish jam, and a good book recommendation.
