Term 1:
In term one, we looked at many different aspects of wellbeing with Ms. O Connor, and also did many worksheet activities. I really like this class every week. I think the topics we are learning about can be very interesting.

interpersonal

Opinions on immunisation
The importance of a healthy diet
The positive and negative impacts of different things on our bodies, such as
alcohol
exercise
nutritious food

We also registered for a wellbeing course on https://www.projectonesky.com/ and have completed the first quest about sleep. I think this is a great website. After each lesson you can take a quiz to see how much information you retained from watching the video which can be fun.

Term 2:
In term 2 we each started making our own website, using Google Sites, about a topic related to wellbeing.
I chose nutrition as my topic, because I already knew some information about it after doing home economics for the junior cert. My aim was to create a website to clearly explain the basics of nutrition
I included information about:
Macronutrients
Micronutrients
Recipes
Explanatory videos
Programmes, documentaries and TED Talks about nutrition
We also continued the wellbeing course - "Project One Sky"
I actually find this course good. It made me aware of things about myself I wasn't already aware of and simple ways of improving my wellbeing i relation to many different areas, such as
Sleep
Nutrition
Resilience
Mindfulness
Term 3:
We continued with the website and project one sky during lockdown.
When we came back to school we watched the Disney movie Inside Out and talked about our emotions. This animated movie contains a very important message that you are allowed to feel different emotions, and that all of our emotions are important.
