Term 1:
In term one, we took part in 2 different activities in PE, with Mr. Noonan as our teacher.
These were:
Handball (3 weeks)
Tennis (3 weeks)
I enjoy taking part in PE. It's nice to get a break from normal classes and have the opportunity to exercise and have fun.
For the handball, a local handball trainer came to the school to teach us how to play the game. We played lots of matches in singles and doubles, and mixed up the groups every week.
For the tennis, we went on a bus to the tennis court in Milford, bringing tennis rackets and tennis balls with us. Again, after learning the basics we were split into teams and played lots of matches against each other.
Overall, I liked both activities. After learning the basics of the games it was a lot easier and more enjoyable, as well as more competitive!
Term 2:
In term 2, we continued doing the tennis, handball and choice.
For a few weeks a dance teacher also came and thought us something different for a change.
The dancing was good fun!
Term 3:
During lockdown we did a few challenges
Step challenge
Healthy eating challenge
Yoga challenge
These were all really good to take my mind off things, even though I probably looked stupid jogging around the kitchen when the weather wasn't great!
After we came back to school we did choice, including:
Basketball
Ultimate Frisby
Volleyball
I also completed the GAA Coaching course (which included both a practical and online module)
