Term 1:
We studied DCG in term one with Mr. Quinlan.
I really enjoyed this subject.
I had never done anything like it so it was new to me.
We focused on the DCG project that leaving certs have to complete in sixth year.
He showed us examples of past projects people have done, such as one on a salt seller, and then we had to pick our own idea to do the project on. I did my project on perfume bottles, and it had to be three pages in length.
Attached is my DCG project:
Page One - Brainstorm about different features of perfume bottles with contrast in the examples.
Page 2 - A Priceline from cheapest to most expensive perfume bottles. I found that the most expensive branded perfumes, such as Coco Mademoiselle Chanel - €111, don't always have an extravagant design. A simple design is effective in providing an elegant look
Page 3 - Compare & Contrast on 2 totally different perfume bottles. The writing in the middle talks about their differences and similarities in detail, referring to the features mentioned on page 1. I also did some sketches outlining structural differences in the perfume bottles.
